About

My name is Christine and I’m a naturalist and environmental educator for a World Birding Center in the Rio Grande Valley, TX. I studied elk habitat selection and wildlife ecology in grad school in Arkansas and natural resource ecology and management at LSU. My passions vary far and wide. I love being outdoors both for work and play! I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, swimming, photographing wildlife, shooting sports, and traveling. I also enjoy yoga, crafting, drawing, and organizing. I’m from Louisiana (Geaux Tigers!) and currently live in South Texas with my husband (also a wildlife biologist) and our two dogs Bogie and Spartacus. Thanks for visiting my blog!

  1. Hi Christine. Would you be interested in reviewing an illustrated children’s book about fishing adventures, told from the perspective of the lures? I have a forthcoming book, entitled Escape From the Crooked Tree, that is 48 pages, 36 color illustrations and perfect for children 4-8. I think you might find it interesting and we could maybe do an interview or article together for your blog. You can learn more about me and the book at http://www.tackleboxtales.com. Thanks! Jason
